Artist Susan Baumert painted this oriental-style chair. The seat is adorned in red velvet. The chair was donated by Laverne Baker, a member of the Ladies of Charity.
This Alabama football-inspired chair comes with a mint plant because Alabama is in the heart of mint julep country. It was created by Melba Darden, a member of the Ladies of Charity.
From a live auction of hand-painted chairs to a gardening workshop and activities for children, the Chairs for Charity and Pass-Along Plants Sale on Saturday, May 3, will have a little something for everyone. About the Ladies of Charity
A group of Pensacola women with ties to Sacred Heart Hospital has organized the Ladies of Charity, a new ministry to serve the poor and carry on a ministry that began almost 400 years ago. The group is dedicated to the care of the sick and the poor in the Pensacola area.
Their primary focus will be on serving needy families, women and children in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties.
